Why is the site named after Mike Dolbear if it’s an equal partnership between Gerry and Mike?
The website was originally going to be site for selling Mike’s book, “Rhythm & Fills” but quickly evolved into the online magazine it is now. The brand has now been established and is firmly in place within the industry so it’s quite difficult to change at this stage.

What should I refer to when linking to or wirting about the site?
If you are linking to us or referring to the website(s) it should be as "mikedolbear.com" (all lowercase) and not "Mike Dolbear", the latter being the person and the former being the banner for the actual "organisation".

How long has the site been running?
The first version of the site was launched in November 2000. A year later we updated it, making it database driven to allow for more updates to me made on the fly. In July 2005 we launched the current version of the site which includes our new Classifieds site.

So do you two actually do any reviews?
Well actually we don’t. We exercise editorial control over what goes on the site but, apart from the odd DVD, neither Gerry or Mike review product.

Why don’t you do any news or reviews on my favourite drums?
We can only bring you the news that is sent to us. If a manufacturer doesn’t send it in, we can bring you news about them, or review their product.

How many people visit the site?
At present (Sept 2005) we get about 190,000 visitors a month from over 100 countries worldwide. Our visitor numbers normally see an increase every month. The site is also viewed in German, Spanish, Italian and even Japanese using the Google page translator.
