why bids are so high on this ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160830983782?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

you all know i luvs me Prems, but there is some hard work involved to get this up to scratch (if you can repair the bass drum first). maybe someone wants the snare? maybe an odd tom? it's a 50 quid project, not over 200 and counting

Maybe the two main bidders asked questions that aren't responded to in the listing and the "THERE IS ALSO A HI-HAT" is worth the asking price?

I agree, but a duro kit in top condition is worth over 400, a blue one sold in Germany yesterday for 560. Autocrat snares can go for silly money in Europe at the moment, maybe someone has recently done a feature on them, but they have gone through the roof. Perhaps the potential buyer is more interested in the sound and likes a shabby look like guitarists do.

you're of course correct, but no way would i bid that kind of money for a kit so out of shape, i'd end up shelling out as much again to get it looking somewhere near

It looks like the inside of the bass drum has been painted white. Maybe the seller's dad really wanted a Hayman kit?
Isn't that an Autocrat snare drum? Maybe a collector is after that?

Lack of knowledge, possibly?

The listing mentions Ringo.
