Would any of you guys be able to help me with writing a drum kit wetup guide ?

I am by no means a academic type and if i try to write a guide it would look like a 12 years school project, really it will

I think this would be a great thing to have for other drummers and new drummers as a reference guide

Let me know if you can help and i would be very grateful

You only use the letters "Y" and "I" ???

Seriously though, everyone sets up drums differently mate. One of my teachers once told me to let my hands fly around on an invisible kit and that would give me an idea of where i would naturally place my toms and cymbals (does that make sense)?. Basically, place your drums where your hands naturally want to venture. You could use that idea.
If it's a set up guide right from the start you might want o mention about setting up right / left handed. My uncle set up my first kit when I was in school. He just copied the picture, and didn't stop to think that I'm left handed. I've now been playing drums right handedly and have often wondered if my ideas would flow better if he had set up my drums left handed.

First page..Set up

Second Page...bung it in the motor!

Haynes just published a book on this which I supplied some drums for.Its a good read.

Getting books published is where it gets difficult.

Draft something up and post it. I'm sure there's plenty of us that would be happy to make suggestions.

Just search 'Drum Kit Setup Guide' on Google; there's loads of them.
