I know, Chris, lucky really, as white silk pearl can go very yellow with age usually!!

mmmmmm! brings back memories Doooooglarse!! The very first real kit I played in 1963 was a borrowed (guitarist's father had it ) 1960 Oly 20"BD 21x8(single headed) and S.D. in WMP, Ahhhhhhhhh, it was so much better than the 28" Brass band BD and old brass SD with bughrahd snare wires that we had to turn the SD upside down and play either side of the wires??

I thought your 18" tom was 70s Dug?
drumdmc Posted - 05/05/2012 : 20:21:53
Nice one Dug, a good few years back at NDF there was a White Silk 60s Oly 18 inch bass drum. The wrap had a couple of splits which could have been repaired. It is the only 60s 18 inch job i have ever seen. Did i buy it......NO!
