On Thgursday we were due to play at the 'Manhattan 34' bar in Leicester, we've played there once before and had a great time, We also had 2 seperate parties coming!
On arrival the barman tlod us that the council had installed a noise meter, no probs, we've worked with them before and with the jobeky I could keep the kit really low.
As soon as we tried to play, the power tripped, to the point where with the bar staff in attendance, one cough tripped the power. the system had been set using an ipod and they had not thought of using a live bandf!
Also this was attached to monitoring equipment in an upstairs flat which recorded everytime the system was tripped, so we couldn't use another socket.
Thankfully our resouceful sax player went to a real ale pub 'The Ale Wagon' who agreed to have us playing, so at 7.30, our current audience helped to carry all the gear 100m up the road and we started just after 8pm
And what a gig it was
