Hello folks
I'm going to buy myself a Jobeky kit. Lovely. Trouble is, I have no module to get a noise out of it.
I'm not at all fussed on buying a Roland module for it or a 2Box. If possible would like to hook all the cables up to something else and make the Sounds come from Superior Drummer or something.
So, I'll have a Jobeky Kit, A Mac, loads of Cables. What's the best way to make sounds without shedding out for a module?
Does that make sense?
I have no idea about electronics. |

Prog,
Will a Motu Midi Express 128 (http://www.motu.com/products/midi/128) do the same thing? It is a bit more expensive, but rack mounted so I can stick it in next to a Saffire Pro 40 so everything is nice and compact. I like things to be tidy!
I don't think it will, as it's midi in to the back. Not jack. Actually, ignore this. I will go for the Trigger iO |

Yes, the Motu is not a trigger to MIDI interface.
I'm visiting Jobeky on Friday to finalise my new kit spec and put down a deposit. I'm opting for the 2Box module though as I plan to gig it. |

Nice. Are the custom building your kit?
I'm thinking of going with a Prestige Custom 4/4 package. I won't be gigging it. It's just the sounds I'll require then.
Is the DM5 unit any good? That has pre programmed sounds but will also work with Superior Drummer, as far as I can tell. You can pick the DM5 up quite cheap it seems so if it'll work, I may go with that. |
