As the good capt says, whereabouts is the problem.

Is it getting the inner rod back into the holes or the fiddly bolts inside the black casings, the springs to sit nicely, the funny shaped arm things to get back into the holes..........

Hmmmmm, now I remember, give up and never do it again :-)

Still looking for a black premier projector 14" floor tom and 22" bass drum with long lugs, and a complete monster MK2 premier black shadow resonator with long lugs........

It is possible to fit the ends on the wrong way round. It will still function, but not very well. Make sure you have the butt and throw ends on the right side.

I can sit the beam on me table assembled great, but it's gettin the L arms that connect the smaller rod to the big flat main rod, and putting the fecking sir clips an that back on. Can anyone throw up some step by step drawings or summat before i beat myself to death with the shell??

I reckon myself to be afraid of very little - but I have never dared to take them apart.

They look like at some point during disassembly, some springloaded thingy will come off unexpectedly, and a lot of parts jump in the air, so that it is impossible to fathom the order in which to put them back....

One more reason for loving my HiFi!

She still needs Circlips on the tiny elbowed arms that pivot the beam up and down, but from a quick crank up, she sounds BLINKING FANTASTIC!!!

To be fair to Premier, they always said in their publications and manuals that users should never adjust or tamper with any part of the mechanism apart from the on/off lever and the tension knob!

Hello Dug,

Bazarre has helped me out with a link to a drawing here:
http://www.mikedolbear.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=104072
Please see his post at the bottom of that thread.

I have some of these small circlips here. Totally there are four needed: how many are missing at your's? (Perhaps you could help me with another 2000 part/ to swap?)

On the tiny tubular elbowed arms that connect both beams together, one side is a traditional circlip, on the side that sticks out, it has a plastic bush and a toothed washer. Plus there are rubber buffers each end inside the plastic housing, one keeps coming out, so the wires arent sitting straight on one end. Bloody premier!!

Sorry you're having issues, but those pictures of the assembled snare actually caused me to have a trouser accident. That's absolutely gorgeous!

I've removed, fitted, dismantled and remantled a few of the internal flobeam snares for marching drums in the past, and they weren't difficult; but even though I've had several of these at various times, have never tried fettling one, do they differ greatly?
