Any suggestions for getting a good pop/rock sound out, 10 12, 14ft, 20 bd

Toms? If you're an Evans man then I'd put a Clear G1s on the tops and bottoms (for a bright sound) or Coated G1 on the batter and Clear G1 on the reso; that'll warm it up a bit without losing too much cut. Remo? Clear Ambassadors on both sides.

I guess it depends on what sort of tone you really want out of the drums... Fat? Sustain? Cut?
