...I'm off for an interview/chat at another local school this afternoon, our fellow Dolbearian pizza85 was teaching drums there but he can't do it next term and he's put my name forward as a replacement. It's just a couple of hours a week but it's another tiny foothold in the education system.

It's a slow business, this "becoming a multi-millionaire through teaching drums to kids" lark.

Carry on.

My advice to all interviewees is to try and conduct yourself in the manner of Spud in the interview scene from Trainspotting. .... You'll nail it!

Wellllllllllllllllllll........

I got the gig. Start second week of September.

Now, I have a list of things to do over the summer.

1. Learn djembe.

2. Learn how to use brushes a bit better. Well, at all, really.

3. Find out something about handbells.

Carry on.

Well, it's steady for a couple of hours a week during term, so it's not exactly Bob Diamond territory.

It's a secondary school, ages from 11 to seventeen or so.
