| Lose the silly voice, you're undermining the quality of the info you're giving! if there hadnt been this thread and i found it per chance, i would've skipped as soon as i heard the 'put-on' voice. Good exercise though. |

Well if you're after "honest feedback", it's not a good idea to start your quest with a dishonest pretense. Most of us are over five on here, and so it's kinda insulting for ya to think we wouldnt be able to see through the "just stumbled across this" old chestnut!
Anyway, yup, the voice is totally annoying and kinda cringy. Also maybe lose the swearing too - kids might wanna learn this excersise (because it's actually pretty nice).
Worth mentioning too that the name of the vid and the first couple of times you explain it would suggest 2x Paradiddlediddle, 1x Double paradiddle and 1x paradiddle, but obviously there are 2 of each. Small thing but could confuse some guys.
Playing wise it would clean it up a little if you could get more control of the none accented notes, i.e. play them all lower in height and volume.
But on the positive side, it's a great chop, so well done for that! |

Forgive me if I have this wrong but I thought I was playing 2x paradiddle diddle, 1 x double paradiddle and 1x single. PAradiddle diddle x2 = RLrrll RLrrll Double PAradiddle x1= RlrlrrLrlrll Single PAradiddle x1= RlrrLrll
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I see where you're coming from and i guess there's room for debate, but I would definitely make the distinction between changing hands as two seperate rudiments. As in Rlrr is one paradiddle, and Lrll is another. You wouldnt always want to play one after the other.
Think of the name. It's called a Paradiddle, because when you play one it sounds like Paradiddle. It's not called a ParadiddleParadiddle. When you begin to play it on the pad, notice how you even say Double Paradiddle and Paradiddle twice each. |
