following prog's achieving the impossible thread, what is your record for packing gear into a motor. I haven't seen this thread for a while and some new records may well have been set.

my record is two full sized premier timps, a big 28" marching bass drum, two 14x12 marching snares, big bag of hardware, big box of percussion instruments and Two adults into a vauxhall nova.

also we've fit a double Bb bass, euphonium, the 28" BD, three 14x12 marching snares, big box of music, box of music stands and Four adults in a nissan micra. that wasn't the comfiest ride in the world, mind.

Not actually drums but in a citroen berlingo:

Two 18" Subwoofers (nearly 50KG each)
Two 15 main monitors (25kg each)
Three 12" monitor speakers
One 15" Monitor speaker
Large mixing desk
Small Mixing Desk
Bout 12 mic stands
Large box of speaker cables
Large box of extension cords/splitters
Large box of mics DIs etc
x3 2U size amplifiers

Here's a pic of JUST the top three lines of that list :P was already nearly full aha (actually that's only two of the 12" mons and the 15"). Ended up with all stuff over the front passenger seat too.

That was a killer on the back to be sure. Loading it up after engineering a gig, middle of the night and in the dark, was pretty sucky too!

Back in the days when I was a nipper gigging with the parents we'd get...

One 22", 10"/12", 13" Premier APK kit with snare and enough hardware for 3/4 cymbals
A fair sized 1x12" guitar combo
1x15 Bass cab
Bass amp head
Two 1x12 PA cabs
PA powered mixer plus spare amp
Full size Korg keyboard plus stand
Bass & electric guitars plus spare
Speaker, mic & guitar stands
All leads, cables etc
My dad, my mum and me

...into an ageing Sierra estate. Still don't know how it all went in, although I had to use a single headed kick so a Tom would go inside :-)

The poor old car used to look like a dying dog pulling itself along
