...whack a fella with a stick who then dies...NOT guilty.

...drive a car at 3 lads killing them......NOT guilty.

Its getting more and more difficult to get a room at Her Majestys pleasure.

The stick whacker was not even found guilty of manslaughter. The car driver off scott free too, really sickening.

The Prisons are full and they don't work no matter what people tell me.
They need water poured all over them just before bed time.
Not tv xbox.
Again this would work

In fairness, I did think the copper getting charged with manslaughter was a tad harsh to say the least.

I appreciate that the law was most probably upheld, and everything done correctly, and lets face it, I'm neither an expert on the law nor fully au fait with each case, but it does smell a bit.

Where is the justice for the families of the victims who in my mind should be the important ones in these cases.

I remember the lads being killed during the riots and on of the Dads speaking out for peace and calm. We all lauded him and said how brave he was to do so. Now its like all that has been thrown back in his face.

Not even a dangerous driving charge.

As for the copper, theres a list of bad behaviour on his police record. Why was he even out on the street.....HE IS A THUG, and thats the police saying that about him.

The mind boggles.

Where the feck is Kev Drumcrew when you need him?

You jest of course.
9 forensic reports say the fall contributed to his death.
1 says it didnt.

He was seen violently pushing him to the ground.

Tell you what Martyn, you push a lad over in the pub this weekend.
If he dies what will you be charged with ????....spilling his f'kin pint??...don't think so.

Kev to the rescue
This last 5 years i have been wrong this country is getting better day by day and in 10 years time its going to smell lovely.

I have seen other sides to what i have been putting on here and they are right about me going on about doom and gloom.
If i was young again with a kid like some on here i can see why they don't want to hear me go on an on about it.

Peace to everyone of you

Agree with DWP, I am happy to believe that the cop had no intention of killing the man, but he is supposed to behave professionally and responsibly at all times, even under far more stressful conditions than existed at the time he lashed out, and he did this in a way which led to the man's death.

Nah mate, I've seen the footage, it looked like a "get a kin' move on" push to me.
The police had a tough job that day and came under a lot of pressure, getting locked up for doing your job, albiet a touch too aggresively is b0ll0cks.
If I push over a lad in a pub this weekend I will be wanting him to stay down, there's a difference in intent IMO.

Difficult situation sure, I think the copper was totally in the wrong. That guy may have looked like he was a cheeky git putting his hands in his pockets and kinda had a laddish swagger, but he was walking away. Not attacking anyone.

Didn't that policeman have previous?

Apparently the copper does have previous. lots of it

It was a deliberately aggressive action agaianst someone that was not a threat, was walking away and he should be jailed, but of course that doesn't happen

He is above the law

And everytime someone like him gets away with murder, more will follow

reading the comments beneath the story on the DM i wonder what the world is coming to. They are almost all saying he was acting quite correctly, all v sad but there you go, WTF. See what happens when one of their relatives gets truncheoned.
The copper was pensioned off, for what who knows? then rejoins seemingly having got over his v serious illness to join the beatemup crew. What an appalling organisation, disband the lot and start again.

A few months ago I started reading posts on forums that are specially for police officers. I was shocked, chilled at their take on 'the man in the street'. After a while I can't even stomach reading them any more. I can recommend you take a look around, it is a real eye opener.

It is time that any previous should be raised in court.

He is clearly a bully and has that Russian nutter look about him.If your own colleagues report you there is something not quite right with you?

The law will never be equal and just but the public will always be cynical and rightly so.

Basically this person should never have been allowed back into the police in the 1st place after so many accusations of using excessive force. But when the Police investigate the Police then it looks likes theres collusion, even if there isn't.

Hit from behing with a Baton, then pushed over, all the time with his hands in his pockets, then he dies within minutes, and the copper walks away again,no wonder theres a growing sense, of what happened to justice in this country.

I'm appalled.

Over 1500 deaths in Police custody since 1970. Not one convicted copper.

Kind of says it all really.

Aaah the old single me out routine.
On face value I think it's fair but I haven't read any news articles or background stories relating to the case.
When he first got arrested I thought it was right, after seeing video footage I thought it was harsh specially as it seemed to be fuelled by a media campaign.
If you don't agree with my views then so be it but don't try and cast a negative light on me because I don't agree with yours or the general feeling of the forum.
