Drum Workshop, Inc. (DW) is excited to announce that drummers beyond North America, Japan, and Australia will now have the chance to experience the future of acoustic-electric drumming. DWe, the groundbreaking wireless, acoustic-electronic convertible drum set, will be available for purchase in Europe starting July 4th, 2024. The result of several years of meticulous development, DWe offers an authentic playing experience that seamlessly blends acoustic and electric drum elements to create a kit that caters to the diverse needs of modern drummers.
Launched to great critical acclaim in USA, Canada and Japan in November 2023 and in Australia in early 2024, DWe is the first-ever wireless acoustic-electronic convertible drumkit, featuring authentic DW sounds in the DW Soundworks app. DWe’s innovative system bridges the gap between acoustic and electronic drums with its American-made, handcrafted shells and proprietary wireless technology. The flexibility of DWe ensures players are prepared for everything from home practice to live performances on the world’s biggest stages, studio recording and content creation. Artist already using DWe live include Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson, Mr. Mr., Turner), Tony Roster Jr. (Katy Perry) and Jay Lane (Dead and Company). DWe is also being used in the studio by recording legends including Trevor Lawrence Jr (Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Herbie Hancock) J.R. Robinson (Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson, Madonna) and Curt Bisquera (Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, Josh Groban).
Manufactured in the USA at DW’s Oxnard California factory, DWe kits are available in 4-piece and 5-piece configurations and players can choose between five finish options: Black Galaxy and White Marine (Finish Ply), Black Cherry Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic (Lacquer) and Candy Black Burst over Curly Maple (Exotic Finish).
DWe upholds the craftsmanship and quality synonymous with the DW brand, embodying the next evolution of acoustic-electronic drums and delivering unparalleled versatility and performance. With Roland Europe Group now handling distribution, an even wider segment of the drumming community will have the opportunity to experience DWe’s innovation advances.

DW is grateful for the efforts and support from the Messner family and the entire GEWA team.
