Lesson – Chris Whitehouse – Fives

Hi guys!

Welcome back.

This lesson is focussed on a popular five note sticking – RLRLL – and phrased through sixteenth note triplets.

In a bar of 4/4 each beat is divided into 6 giving us 24 beats. That means that we have room for 4 cycles of the sticking and leaves us with 4 notes left over.

See the transcription for a better look.

I’ve orchestrated it in various ways however I’ll leave it up to you to figure your own out.
