Lesson – Chris Whitehouse – Linear Shuffle

Linear Shuffle

This is a fairly simple lesson. The linear three is phrased RLF through triplets.

The right hand goes on the hi hats, left hand goes on the snare. On the third grouping (beat Three) the right comes down to play the main snare beat, creating a nice half time shuffle.

Be sure to keep the LH ghosted and let it propel the beat along. Occasionally it can be double/diddled for extra funk.
