Mapex UK welcomes Andrew Scott to their artist roster

Having recently joined British Blues Rock group, King King, he is currently in the studio recording the bands next album before hitting the road in 2020.

Hailing from St.Andrews, Scotland, Andrew’s passion for music began with the piano and bagpipes before he realised his appetite for drums. He went on to study Music at Glasgow University before heading to the Berklee College of Music, where he studied Drum Set Performance.

Since then, Andrew’s career has taken him on tour through the UK and US with band such as Firebrand Super Rock and Aviations and band work aside, he also owns and runs Owl Shed Studios in Edinburgh where he specialises in remote session work for clients all over the globe.

Mapex UK Artist Manager, Martin Potts, said “Andrew was already a Mapex player and we’d been keeping an eye on his career with a view to developing a relationship with him. King King’s popularity is continuing to grow so the time was right to bring Andrew on board with Mapex and we’re looking forward to working with him”.

Andrew is playing a Black Panther Phatbob Snare with a Saturn V Tour Edition in Vintage White and has 10/12/13/14/16/18 with 20” and 24” bass drums to make up different configurations for the studio and live work.
