The new AQ2 Series from Sonor was launched on September 23 and 24 at the UK Drum Show in Manchester. Two days later it was launched globally online at a live event on onlinelessons.tv and Facebook live.

The AQ2 range features;

• 100% maple shells

• New designed „SmartMount“ – The minimalistic yet functional design of the “SmartMount” avoids unnecessary drilling holes and metal to shell contact. This leads to better sustain and better visibility of the shell surface.

• 4 hi-gloss lacquers to choose from or there’s a classic white marine pearl wrap from Delmar also available.

• According to Sonor, the choice of configurations and sizes is pretty much unique in this price range. Drummers can choose out of 5 standard sets and extend and mix and match these to your individual needs. The same finishes and shell hardware within the AQ2 Series allow for countless options.

All of the drums mentioned above are available separately to create individual set ups.

The sets come as shell kits including double tom holder (Stage, Studio) or tom/cymbal holder (Martini, Safari, Bop) as well as with floor tom legs.
