In the next episode of the ‘Backstage with…’ series, Mike talks to Steve Barney, drummer with Anastacia (since 2009) and currently out with Mike and The Mechanics.

In this episode, Mike travelled to the BIC in Bournemouth to catch up with Steve when he was recently touring with Anastacia on date 13 of the 14 date Ultimate Collection UK Tour.

Steve talks through his gear with the help of his tech Nick Gosling, and talks about how important it was for him to have had supportive parents through his career.

Steve also talks about how touring has changed over the year, with production budgets being cut over time and offers advice to drummers starting out.
